DAY 1: HA NOI  ARRIVAL

Upon arrival Noi Bai airport Hanoi, meet up our local tour guid and transfer to city centre & check in hotel.

Check in time after 2pm. Rest & relax.

Free to explore Hoan Kiem Lake & Hanoi’s Old Quarters on walkingthe top special historical vestige and the streets have a nearly 1,000-year old history. Exploring the locals’ daily life, the old-style narrow streets and houses, the colorful souvenir shops, and of course trying some of the most tasty traditional foods.

DAY 2: HA NOI FULL DAY CITY TOUR      (B)

Our tour guide and driver pick you at hotel and explore the capital including:

Temple of Literature – being the first university in Vietnam, Temple of Literature is acknowledged as an ancient historical-cultural heritage which gives tourists deeper understanding about Hanoi’s years of culture and tradition.

Vietnam Museum of Ethnology where you can look into a vivid picture of the miniaturized Vietnamese ethnic community’s life. It is composed of 54 ethnic groupsfifty ethnic minorities with different and colorful culture. Vietnam Ethnology Museum is the perfect place to learn more about the diversity in ethnic communities of Vietnam.

Hoa Lo Prison – Known widely by the nickname ‘Hanoi Hilton’ given to it by the Americans during the Second Indochina War, Hoa Lo Prison was originally established by the French colonial government in 1896 for the purpose of detaining political prisoners and formed part of a northern network of ‘unjust and cruel prisons’.

DAY 5: HA NOI – AMAZING NINH BINH – HANOI (B/L)

07.15– 07.45: Pick up from your hotel and departure to Ninh Binh by comfortable transfer.

09.00: Have a short break for relaxing at a stop-over in Dong Van, Ha Nam province.

10.00: Arrive Tam Coc area. Start the journey by visiting a local family in Tam Coc. They are a traditional Vietnamese family with three generations living together. Here you will get the chance to see the house architecture and their daily life and their handicraft job of making traditional embroidery.

You will take a bike and start riding to explore the rice fields and limestone mountains for about 1 hour with an 8 km unique route.

Animal Cart or Motobike is available for those who can’t ride bike or want to try different verson. ( with extra charge )

11:30 Come back to the host family to enjoy a special lunch prepared by the home chef with the local cuisine featuring the yin-yang balance of the Asian culture. After lunch, a break with a cup of Vietnam green tea or coffee will be served before you continue the journey of discovery Tam Coc- the “Halong Bay on land”

13.30: Visit Tam Coc by a small boat rowed by a local for about 2 hours.  Known as “Halong Bay on land”, Tam Coc is the name of the limestone caves area stretching along Ngo Dong river. The boat trip is a nice journey along the river with the peaceful scenery of Limestone Mountains, rice paddy and the sight of some temples along the way. If traveling during harvest season, you may have chances to see the yellow rice carpet along the river banks.

15.30: Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, visit the temple of King Dinh. Under the introduction of our local guide, you will get to know more about the Vietnamese history. Hoa Lu existed as the capital of Vietnam for 41 years (968 – 1009), of which 12 years was under the Dinh dynasty – King Dinh Tien Hoang, when country named Dai Co Viet.

16.30: Leave Hoa Lu and drive straight back to Hanoi.

18:30 Arrive in Hanoi, drop you back to your hotel or private address in Hanoi Old Quarter. Trip ends.

DAY 6: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY ON CRUISE         (B/L/D)

Pick you at hotel and transfer to Ha Long Bay – Recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site since 1994 for it thousands of natural islands and one of the most magnificent scenic spots in Vietnam as well.

The permanent beauty of Ha Long is created by three factors: stone, water and sky.

Ha Long Bay includes its infinitely rich system of grottoes and caves such as: Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace Grotto), Dau Go (Driftwood Grotto), Sung Sot (Surprise Grotto), Tam Cung (Three Palace Grotto), Trinh Nu (Virgin Grotto)… Each is a grandiose and refined natural architectural creation.

While exploring the bay, tourists will feel lost in a legendary world of stone islands which shapes change depending on the angle and the light.

Welcomed and check-in boat at noon, your seafood lunch will be served while the cruise slowly slides on romantic waves of the sea.

Afternoon is time for many interesting activities such as: visiting the cave, kayaking, swimming, sunbathing, cooking class…

Enjoy special dinner dish and continuing night program with the crew.

DAY 7: HALONG BAY – HANOI    (B/Brunch)

Start-up your new day with Tai Chi instruction or just do sunbathing on sundeck and feeling the magnificent dawn scene surrounding, then having breakfast and following cruise’s itinerary (visit cave or floating village…).

Cruising on the deep and clear blue waters of the sea while marveling at the wonderful landscapes of mighty islands and green islets will surely make that vacation a special one.

Brunch/or lunch will be served on board before check out time around 11h00.

You will be returned to the main harbor before transferring to our awaiting vehicle.

Drop at your hotel. Free time in the evening.

DAY 8: HA NOI – FLY TO HUE      (B)

Transfer to airport to take flight to Hue city.

Upon arrival Phu Bai airport, our tour guide and driver pick you and transfer to hotel to check in.

DAY 9: HUE FULL DAY CITY TOUR   (B)

Hue was once the Imperial capital and now listed as a World heritage site. Sitting on  the  Banks  of  the  delightful  Perfume  River  you  will find  amazing  citadels,  fabulous palaces and royal tombs. Many of the sites can be reached by river and this makes an excellent way to see the city.

Pick up at hotel and start a day tour:

Morning visit:

  • Dragon boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda – The oldest pagoda in Hue city.
  • Imperial Citadel – The home of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty – the Nguyen Dynasty.
  • Hue Royal Antiques Museum – A collection of ornaments from the Nguyen dynasty.
  • Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people

Afternoon visit:

  • Khai Dinh King’s Tomb – a blend of Western and Eastern architecture.
  • Minh Mang King’s Tomb, one is impressed by the majesty and symmetry of the architectural constructions.

DAY 10: HUE – DA NANG CITY – HOI AN  ANCIENT TOWN  (B)

Morning, our tour guide and driver pick you at hotel and transfer to Da Nang city via Lang Co Bay & Hai Van pass. It means “ocean cloud pass” – one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam between Thua Thien-Hue Province and Danang City.

Arrival Da Nang city, go to visit  Champa Museum – the most special collection of Champa sculptures  in central Vietnam. Conitnue to visit Marble Moutain. Climb up the most beautiful peak to discover beautiful caves and visit old national pagodas. Drop in the very famous traditional carving village to to see skillful marble products by talent artists.

Transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town. Explore Hoi An Ancient Town –  an Eastern oriental classic captivation. With the strategic location on the banks of the great river, with one seaside border (East), it used to be one of the major trading centers in Southeast Asia during the 16th century due to the early western trader occupying period.

Visit the traditional architecture and relaxed lifestyle, the centuries-old homes of merchants, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful, bustling market…

DAY 11: MY SON & HOI AN  (B)

Today, leaving Hoi An crossing the Cua Dai bridge with its spectacular views of the Hoi An river system, mountains and Cham islands, we arrive at the fishing village alive with activity as the market traders sell their evenings catch, providing some great photo opportunities.

Arriving at My Son, this “Valley of Kings” as described by French historians was once the capital of the Chăm Pa Kingdom from the 4th to 15th century.
Following a traditional dance performance, your walking tour to the Cham ruins begins with a short ascent along a jungle bordered track. While you explore the area your guide will explain the history of the religious site which served as a burial place for the Cham monarchs centuries ago.

PM: Commence the drive back to Hoi An to start our boat trip on Thu Bon river. Departing from Nguyen Hoang dock, your boat journey of approximately two hours will take you past Duy Hai fishing village, Tra Nhieu – weaving village, Kim Bong Carpentry village and Cam Thanh coconut jungle village.

DAY 15: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR      (B)

Our tour guide will driver pick you at hotel and go to visit The Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Continue to visit The Nha Rong Harbor was originally a large trading port in Saigon, built in 1864 on the Saigon River. Finally, go to visit Thien Hau pagoda in bustling China Town, Binh Tay market. Finally, shopping at Ben Thanh market and other shopping mall in city centre.

DAY 16: HO CHI MINH – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO    (B/L/D)

Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and start the trip to My Tho.

Upon arrival, boarding the sampan and cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.

Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.

Have lunch at the local restaurant.

The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Proceed to Can Tho. Enjoy your homestay with dinner.

DAY 17: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – HO CHI MINH    (B/L)

Breakfast at the hotel/homestay.

Take a leisure boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River) then visit to Cai Rang floating market which is the liveliest one in the whole of region.

Walking trip to visit the fruit plantation and local noodle factory.

Visit Binh Thuy communal house and Munir Ansay Pagoda – a Khmer pagoda, renowned for its unique structure.

Have lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

DAY 18: CAO DAI TEMPLE & CU CHI TUNNELS    (B)

Morning, our tour guide and driver will pick you at hotel and transfer to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh. Its exterior is decorated with multi-colored dragons of all shapes and sizes competing for space with a number of swastikas. Cao Dai Temple is the eclectic mix of colours and the amazing use of architecture create a space of beauty, spirituality with a somewhat surreal flavour to western palates !

In the afternoon, transfer to visit Cu Chi Tunnels – a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens.
