PRG 01: 9D8N VIETNAM CULTURE & HISTORY

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL (D)

On arrival to the Tan Son Nhat airport. Transfer to the hotel. Day at leisure in the capital.

Note: Rooms are available from 2pm. Dinner at Vietnamese restaurant.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

 

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS & CITY TOUR  (B,L,D)

Pick up at hotel, proceed to Cu Chi tunnels –  It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists – the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Clients can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels.

PM: Go to visit The Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Continue to visit The Nha Rong Harbor was originally a large trading port in Saigon, built in 1864 on the Saigon River.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA TOUR – FLY TO DA NANG – HOI AN         (B,L,D)

Our tour guide with private car pick you at hotel and transfer to My Tho province.

Upon arrial to My Tho, take a motor boat on the upper part of the Mekong River (Tien River ) to see the fish market and the floating fish farm. Enjoy the view of Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Turtle islands as well.

Cross the Mekong River to Bến Tre province. Enter Rạch Xếp natural canal, which is fully covered with water coconuts. Visit orchards and bee farms to taste pure honey and honey wine. Stop by a coconut candy mill to indulge in this tasty snack while seeing how it is made.

Visit Nam Bo house (traditional Southern Vietnamese houses) by Horse Carriage (Or Ride a Bike)  under the coconut village ) and take a walk around the fruit garden: taste the  seasonal fruits as you enjoy a traditional South Vietnamese musical performance. Enjoy a memorizing rowing boat trip through small canals under the shadow of coconut palms.

Return to airport to take domestic flight to Da Nang airport, meet up our tour guide, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 4 : HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN & TRADITIONAL VILLAGES                    (B,L,D)

Explore Hoi An Ancient Town – an Eastern oriental classic captivation. With the strategic location on the banks of the great river, with one seaside border (East), it used to be one of the major trading centers in Southeast Asia during the 16th century due to the early western trader occupying period.

Visit the traditional architecture and relaxed lifestyle, the centuries-old homes of merchants, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful, bustling market…

Enjoy a boat trip on Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village, you will visit a space of traditional occupational village preserved intact in cultural scenery. Continue to visit Kim Bong Carpentry Village – be the excellent combination of Cham kingdom, China, Japanese… and of course the talented hands of Vietnamese craftmen.

DAY 5 : HOI AN ECO TOUR & COOKING CLASS                (B,L,D)

Morning, we take a half day tour to join in a famous Hoi An cooking class tour.

Start to visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool – towels and showers provided.

  • Crispy Hoi An Pancakes with Shrimp, Herbs, Bean Sprouts & a Peanut Sauce
  • Seafood Salad with mixed Vietnamese Herbs served in Half a Pineapple

Vegetarians are provided with replacement ingredients.

PM: Visiting the seven – hectare water coconut woods with the unique ecosystem of water coconut trees. You will be enthusiastically welcomed by the local people, they will lead you to visit the creeks in the water coconut woods by basket boats, you will be intructed to fish crabs and you will see the performances of rowing basket boats by the local rower.

Transfer to airport to take flight to Hanoi. Check in hotel. Dinner at Vietnamese restaurant.

DAY 6: HANOI FULL DAY CITY TOUR  (B,L,D)

Ho Chi Minh Complex, the heart of Vietnamese people

Ho Chi Minh complex consists of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (close on Monday), Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Residence , One pillar pagoda …

Note: No camera, cell phone, bare-shoulder T-shirts, or mini skirts are allowed inside Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Temple of Literature – being an ancient school of Thang Long and the first university in Vietnam, It is acknowledged as an ancient historical-cultural heritage which gives tourists deeper understanding about Hanoi’s years of culture and tradition.

Vietnam Museum of Ethnology where you can look into a vivid picture of the miniaturized Vietnamese ethnic community’s life. It is composed of 54 ethnic groupsfifty ethnic minorities with different and colorful culture. Vietnam Ethnology Museum is the perfect place to learn more about the diversity in ethnic communities of Vietnam.

Enjoy Water Puppet Show – a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century . The theme of the skits is rural and has a strong reference to Vietnamese folklore. It tells stories of the harvest, of fishing and of festivals are highlighted.

DAY 7: HANOI – TRANG AN ECO TOURISM & MUA CAVE  (B,L,D)

Morning, tour guide pick you at your hotel and depart to Ninh Binh province to visit Trang An.

Trang An, the eco tourist attraction located in the East of Ninh Binh, with area of 2000 ha, is divided into 5 function parts: special protection area (Hoa Lu Ancient Capital), the centre, caves area, service and travel area, spirit area Bai Dinh Pagoda. It includes 47 historical vestiges with many mysterious things, with limestone mountains, valleys and underground river systems.

PM: Continue to visit Mua caves (dancing caves) more than 500 steps to climbing up the mountain, Mua caves is one of the most beautiful place to view in Ninh Binh. Traveller can see the city far from the standing in front of, Tam Coc in back and the limestone mountain along to the south of Vietnam.

DAY 8: HANOI – HA LONG ON CRUISE – HANOI   (B,L,D)

After breakfast, transfer by road through the Red River Delta to beautiful Halong Bay. We arrive at Bai Chay wharf at midday, welcome by crew team and we start enjoying 3.5 – 04 hour boat trip. A delicious seafood lunch will be served when we are completely relax on boat. We are both having seafood and seeing the wonderful sightseeing outside. Our lunch time ends is the time we walk into the Thien Cung cave (Heaven Palace cave) to see thousands of stalactites and stalagmites colored by hundreds of neon lights. After 1 hour stay in the “Heaven Palace”, we are back to the boat for cruising along the World Nature Heritage part to see the Incense Bowl islet, Cock fighting islets Sail islet, Turtle Island…. If weather permitting, we can enjoy our great time with swimming and floating on the tranquil bay. At 15:00 PM, we finish our boat trip and back to our vehicle for transferring to Hanoi.

DAY 9: HANOI DEPARTURE     (B)

Transfer to airport to take departure flight. We do hope you enjoy the trip very much.
